However, there comes a time when one needs to step back, disconnect, & embark on a journey of self-reflection & personal self-care. This is exactly what I found at Friedenswald PeaceForest, a charming Airbnb nestled in the heart of the Midwest. My two-night stay here became an unforgettable experience that allowed me to reconnect with myself & gain clarity on my soul's journey.

Friedenswald PeaceForest is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape from the chaos of everyday life. The hosts Bob & Laura Kulp have taken great care in transforming a rustic barn loft into a cozy & welcoming space that worked perfectly for my own retreat time. The moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the rustic yet modern design that blended seamlessly with the surrounding countryside.
The Tub of Tranquility:
One of the highlights of my stay was the beautifully designed bathroom, complete with a freestanding bathtub. It was a sanctuary of relaxation & peace. I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoyed soaking in that tub, especially after a day spent exploring the serene beauty of the Midwest. The tub was perfectly positioned to allow you to gaze outside at the picturesque landscape while immersing yourself in soothing warm water—a truly blissful experience.
Open Concept Living:
The open-concept living space in the loft was thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort & functionality. A four-seat dining table provided the perfect spot for enjoying meals while taking in the views through the large windows. Whether I was working on my laptop at the desk or simply enjoying a cup of coffee, the space offered a sense of tranquility & inspiration.
Private Bedroom Retreat:
After a day of self-reflection & exploration, retreating to the private bedroom was a treat. The cozy, comfortable bed was a haven of relaxation, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The rustic charm of the barn loft continued in the bedroom, making it a place where I felt truly at home.
